It's been awhile since I bought something, so here is my latest, a very affordable example of the Type.

    Seller photos.

Latest addition to my collection is a Julia Soaemias with Venus Standing reverse. I already have the seated Venus. I have wanted to do a side set of silver for her, similar to Lucilla & Crispina.

Now I just need 1 more.

Closed the deal on this little coin tonight with @Mainebill. Basically trading some coin submissions and coin-photography for this coin that he submitted to PCGS raw, and then to CAC.

Love the slightly circulated-cameo look, and love a < $100 CAC Type coin. Bad photos for now:

My new purchase was a coin I stumbled upon browsing ebay. Something told me to yank out my book on seated quarters and this is what I found!

This just happens to be the coin that Larry Briggs spoke about in the book as being the variety to look out for in the 1876-CC version.

I have confirmed upon receiving it today that it is in fact the Briggs 13-L 1876 Carson City Seated Liberty Quarter.

Now I just hope this series becomes 'HOT' in the future and people start seriously collecting the varieties!

One of the types I have wanted is a tetradrachm of Caracalla. Got one at a great price a few months ago.

    Love these chunky silvers!
