1964 Half struck through edge reeding?

    Among the coins I saw yesterday there was this 1964 Half that appears to have been struck through a little piece of sheared off edge reeding. Two reeds worth, actually. On Kennedy's cheek.

    Is this, as I believe, a far less extreme example of a coin struck through edge reeding than my previous find? https://www.cointalk.com/threads/strange-ike-reverse.210187/

    Nope, This is just where the edge of another coin contacted this one. It is not an error.

    That is what I thought too. The seamlike appearance is what throws me off. Then I found this one where the contact marks are clear and evident. The metal is pushed one way and it looks more like 3 dots, dragged, than it does the appearance of a seam like the one in question.
