Anyone care to speculate?

    And not everyone is always right on here too my friend. I posted a 1971 DDO type 1 and was told it wasn't a DDO on here and ANACS graded it type 1 DDO so please understand my hesitation to believe it was in a holder for now. : )

    I'm sure I have 1 or 2 laying around the shop. I don't normally buy them when I see them (I've probably seen a couple hundred) because they are just damaged cents and the coin counter doesn't like them.

    It is common to forget the tolerances the law/mint allows. For the bronze Lincolns, the optimal weight is 3.11 grams with a +/- 0.13 grams, so a weight of 2.98- 3.24 grams would be considered normal. So many think it is exactly 3.11 with no variance allowed as minted, not true.

    It came from a lucky holder. Very little value.
