1992 double die found, not a documented variety, any help?

    1992 ddo .jpg Theres clear doubling above ted in united and also the am in America... cat find any info on it... Has anyone heard of a 1992 d ddo penny? thanks!

    This does not appear to be a doubled die. Without better photos it's hard (at least with my eyes) to say for sure what it is you're seeing; perhaps it is some sort of plating issue.

    Give us some photos with better resolution and accurate color, and maybe I'll change my mind. I make no guarantee because my gut says die deterioration from a questionable photo.

    Looks like split-plate doubling (a plating issue) to me.
