    Hi All,

Came across this one today; and the seller is saying it's an XF45. Given that it's still raw, would this be a little over-confident of him?

    Thanks in advance, Tom

Xf is probably right but it's been polished or something based on the images.

I agree with the EF , but with those pics it looks like it might have been harshly cleaned , but I really can't tell what those lines are . Could you ask for clearer pics ?

I did; these are the 'clearer' pics  Managed to get one more detailed pic, though.

Unless very cheap and/or price is a major consideration, if you buy stuff like this now and end up sticking with the hobby, when your tastes mature sometime down the road you're likely regret it.

They want £20 ($32) - it seems like good value, but I'm aware it's far from perfect.

I'll have to agree with Jello and Idhair . Cleaned and polished . Possibly whizzed .

It looks pretty cleaned. The thing I look at is how dirty the stars, words, and shield are vs the rest of the coin. It's also too shiny for its wear.

At $32, it's a good buy despite the problems. I really wouldn't be interested, but the price is right.

Yes and No if your one who has a family member who been there first. I was lucky my grandfather's and father collected coins. They kept me from wasting my money on things. Thank goodness eBay wasn't even around. 50 years ago.
