Hello everyone was wondering if i could get some opinions on this coin ill post the obverse soon, i wanted to get thoughts on the authenticity of the coin, thanks!

Need better pictures. Dentils appear off, but again could just be the photos.

Better photos would be good. Note that the dark toning is sometimes artificially applied to hide a coin's surface & prevent proper diagnostics. Sometimes the toning is natural & desired. Please don't clean the coin. Better photos would be good.

Accurate measurements of weight & dimension would also give us an indication of authenticity. Also, check if it is attracted to a strong magnet. If you need help with these measurements, just ask here.

Edit to add: Note that this China coin is widely faked.

Got if off Ebay, it looked so legit as compared to others on the bay. ill post a picture of the dentils.

hate to suggest this, but see if a magnet grabs it...I got a pile of fakes a couple years ago (I did not pay for them). Took them to a show, put them in a bowl with a sign: "Fake Fat Man Dollars. Free to Little Kids"

All 80 of them vanished the first day, mostly to kiddos. And those freebies brought mommies and daddies to my table!!

 

already did the magnet test, it does not grab

 

I have a raw 1921 version of this coin. Have owned it for 20+ years and reasonably sure it's authentic. Impossible to compare it to the OP's pics and draw any firm conclusions.

You really need to find an expert who specializes in this type. You'll probably find one if you post it on enough forums, but you need to generate better photos.

I'm interested to know how this turns out.

How did you do the magnet test? Surely you took it out of the plastic capsule and used a very strong magnet? Also, instead of just using the magnet on the obverse/reverse, try and "pull" the coin with the magnet from the rim.

Dentils look like circular beads. On genuine coins it will be an alternating pattern of thick and thin elongated dentils.

In my earlier post I asked for weight, diameter, & magnetic data but I believe that is all mute. The coin simply does not look right to me. The appearance of a coin is the best counterfeit diagnostic.

 

I think the OP's photos are far too poor to make that call.

 

It is suspect of being fake. I have already suggested better photos, weight, dimension, & magnet test. I've also provided a like depicting "good" coins so that the OP can make some in-hand comparison.

Any other ideas?
