I can't accurately make out this coin. It looks like there is some sort of monogram-like thing on the reverse (I'm guessing the first photo is the reverse) and a bust on the obverse. The face kind of reminds me of those on Saxon sceattas. Could this be a sceatta? Or possibly Merovingian (its being sold as this, and is supposedly bronze)?
Not a sceat or styca. Probably not Merovingian. Can you try cleaning it up a bit and taking a better pic? My first guess would me Vandals or late Roman N. Africa.
Not mine, the seller's. Could it also possibly be 7th century Visigothic? The reverse to me looks like it has something similar to the Emerita monogram.
Either that or a large head (not like the busts on the Emerita coins). Posted this on another forum and the possibility that this could be a lead seal or token was brought up as well.
