Got in change today (as a quarter).

    Is this a 1 Yuan from Tiawan? I got it in change today as a quarter. It is a tad larger than a quarter (diameter) & weighs 6.10 grams. If so can you tell me the date? Also, is it a scarce coin? I'm not planning on selling it, just need to know how well to try to preserve it. Any info is greatly appreciated!

    Yeah, looks like Taiwan. Probably dates around 80s or 90s. Sorry, don't have my price guide, but I think you date it by looking at those two or three symbols at top in first picture, to the left. The cross I think means times 10. It looks cleaned but it's still pretty

    1 Yuan Taiwan Y#536 not sure of the date , I believe 1960 (49)? .15cents
