I know what double stamped means, but sometimes I'm not sure. At the moment, dreamer94-as everyone here knows him, is debating with me about 2 Pennies that I believe to be worth about $53.00. He thinks that they're worth 'A dandy 1 cents!' each. I strongly disagree with him about that, though. So, can anybody help me with that? AS A HINT: The coin has a circular shape to it near the edges and is identical to the rim. It's about a cm. from the rim, and where the line runs over the lettering, it's indented with an identical bump in the centre to the rim.

This has been written about in Coin World, I believe, that you are referring to the 'mystery' ring around the outside of the coin. If so, there is no ready explaination for the raised area, ring, and there is debate about what caused it. And, No, not a double strike.
