I have posted for sell this coin in auction mode on ebay and thought that qith 1 or two bid i was going to sell it but didn't receive any bid yet. I was wondering beside my low feedback what other factors influenced in this result . Below is the link of the auction. http://www.ebay.com/itm/221567968213?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
I see few reasons you didn't get any bids: First, you didn't write the key words in the title. Those should always include country, denomination, year, and metal. (Vatican, Clemente XII, grosso, silver, Roma, 1739) Also, the category you posted in, Medieval-European, even though not wrong, it's too generic in my opinion, you should choose Italy-Vatican coins instead. You need to be patient selling on ebay, it may sell the first time, or it may take longer. Try playing with categories and key words, also with listing format, sometimes fixed price with make offer is the best option. Good luck.
In addition to the above, images aren't cropped and were shot with dim lighting, making it difficult to see the coin the reverse image is upside down the auction wasn't started with a price of $0.99 and, unfortunately, you are located in Albania. Buyers are more likely to bid on coins located in the U.S.
yes it is true but starting with 0.99 and not raising the price artificially (not knowing how exactly ) , i was worried to end with the final price of 0.99 . However , thank you for the advice .
Yes, I probably would have done the same as well. That's the tradeoff though - either you can start an auction at 0.99 and risk somebody winning it a low price, or start it at a higher starting price and risk nobody bidding on it. I usually go with the second option.
