Well I bought some stuff on the bay, I love SMS coins so I ordered some graded halves. I probably paid a little too much but I want a MS67 to grade with. Well I bought a 65 and 66 Half, the 67 will come later and it is a NGC STAR. Anyhow, in looking over the coins the 66 took a huge hit on the E of Liberty. I thought it might be grease but the rim was hit also. How did it get a 67? I do not know but still it is a nice coin. Then I looked at my 65. The hardest to get a good one on or so I am told. I got the Loupe out and started looking.....well, I got a good one. Nice indeed so now I had to see just what I had.....you be the judge.. I think I have this one! At least it matches. So if worth around $20 in MS65, then MS67 will be a bit more. COOL! It might even be worth what I paid for it
Well my MS67 STAR came in... Now I can see what the Star is all about. I guess a lot of my 1971S's should be graded STAR. Cameo on the Obverse and not the Reverse.
Why can I not find any 65's with the same error on a slab? DDO-005 or something? All that I can see is the 801 DDR....strange. I must me missing something.
Ah I found one..... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1965-Kennedy...e-Obverse-50c-Unc-DDO-003-Error-/400614109971 This is a MS65 so I guess a MS67 would be somewhat more.
