The coin has a tilted D. I assure you it's tilted. It's a 1944-D Lincoln cent. Anyone know about tilted mint marks? Also if it is an error what's it worth? I'm not sure/ confused if mint marks were punched by hand back then. So if anyone has any information and cost on it then please reply.

Being as mintmarks were punched into the die by hand at that time (and for long after - until 1990 IIRC), the "tilting" itself is unremarkable and therefore would carry no premium.

Also anyone know how common errors are 1941-1981? All mint marks.

    You are very welcome.

Such as...? Is it safe to assume that you're actually asking about varieties as opposed to errors?

Yeah safe to assume. The album itself is $90 value. Also it's an old Harco coinmasters album. Trying to tone them naturally in there, they've been in there for awhile. All are in AU condition or around there. Filled except for small date varieties and proofs. So only 11 missing mainly proofs. Hoping to fill it one day. In 50 years it'll be worth something.

If the old HARCO album is very old, the plastic was PVC, and contributed severely to damage long term in moist areas. They changed the plastic 10-15 years ago to a non-PVC type. You may be at the age that old was much less than that and are OK. If it is one your grandparents age had, it may be a PVC age.I bought the non-PVC replacement pages for mine about 20 years ago.

How do I tell the difference. My father got it.

No damage yet. I already knew about the precautions of the album. Eventually I'll get a dansco album ( A lot later) and convert them over. Although no air will ever get into the album. All pockets are aired out to the MAX.
