Hi was wondering what the value of a 1922 saint gaudens double eagle gold coin. Its grade is MS62. It could be even MS66.

    Thanks,
    Brad

The guys who know about those things will have to know which mint it is from to even give you ballpark numbers. San Francisco coins were worth almost double Phillies in my several years old Red Book.

Since you say it might be any of five different grades - with widely varying values - pictures that would let them judge for themselves are also vital.

I think it might be worth either $5 and if not, then about, say, $15........?

It's almost an ounce of gold, so you know it's worth at least that much. How did you come up with the MS62 and 66 grades? Coins in those two grades are worlds apart. Even with great pictures, a lot of the make it/break it characteristics are can be subtle.

I hate to pass up a chance to post one of my coins, so here's one graded MS65, for comparison :eating:

You will have to give more info for a decent attempt at a valuation, there is a spread of many hundreds of dollars between the two grades that you mentioned.
