    1. What kind of coin do you have.
    bi-metal 10 shekel coin

    2. What year the coin was minted.
    התש"ע - 5770 of jewish calendar
    2009-2010 of gregorian calendar

    3. Where was the coin minted.
    IDK

These are always the first questions that you must ask. Then comes the hard part.

    4. What condition is the coin in.
It looks to me like (and i wont spend a penny to evaluate it officially) NGC's:
XF DETAILS (Extremely Fine) — Design features are well defined, although light wear is evident throughout.

Most important is that the defects which were left by broken die are undamaged and sharp.

    5. Does the coin still exhibit its original condition.
Before i dipped the coin into a cup with 96% ethyl alcohol and it lost part of its natural luster this coin perfectly matched the NGC's:
AU DETAILS (About Uncirculated) — Traces of light wear are evident on the high points of the coin's design.

Apart from that it is in its original condition.

    6. Eye Appeal
It looks like in picture. Sharp edges of die-defect are felt by fingers.

    7. Has your coin been cleaned.
The coin has been dipped into 96% ethyl alcohol. (Just because i don't like a thoughts about all these microbes that are on the coin when i hold it :doctor: :))

    8. Has the coin been damaged.
Traces of light wear are evident on the high points of the coin's design.
    ========================

It looks fine to me. I failed to find such error of same quality on internet. Though shekels do not have a proper international numismatic market to create a demand. I'd still like to see some opinions or estimations anyway.

:) not to such emotional scale. I thouhgt that some kind of template would be appropriate, so first pinned guide i saw fit the case. ok, a bit lame, but i learning how to handle coins (at least on basic level). i don't think that i found a treasure that lost half of its value due to possible loss of some luster. since 2010 it wasn't at proof state anyway... and it's quite common coin. just with nice error (that i never saw) on it.

Cracked die. An error collector would realistically pay up to $50 in my opinion. I have never seen this error on 10 NIS before and I believe you won't find another one like this any time soon. It still doesn't mean you should run to eBay and list it for $350.

I`ve shown a double struck in collar 2006 10 NIS error in here, still haven't seen another one like it. Seems like there is quite strict quality control where they`re being minted.

Thanks. Of course it still doesn't mean that i should run to ebay. I'll keep cracked die 10 with my filled die 1/2 shekel and capped die (or some kind of oversrike or some broadstike) 10 agorot. IMG_20141011_134704.jpg IMG_20141011_134853.jpg For the better days... When i'll find Rotated cracked die 10 shekels, something like cool counerfeit IMG_20141011_140713.jpg IMG_20141011_140735.jpg in my hands :)

I got that 10 agorot as well, its not very rare since a large batch of this year was struck like that. Found it in circulation.

Got a fake 10 NIS from that gang who was arrested like a year-two ago. Worth keeping.

I got a weird 1/2 in a set, it seems like minting issue. I`ll post a photo since I`m really curious for quite some time about it.
