image.jpg image.jpg Hello again...I'm very excited to say.....after countless hours of searching for error coins....I believe I've finally found one!
1984 Lincoln Cent.....I don't even know what type of error this is but it's definitely something that happened at the mint....any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

What makes you think it was definitely something that happened at the Mint?

On the back you can see the whats supposed the be the word One in the top left corner....I'm no expert but I know no car ran over and copied the word to its tire and partially re stamped it....

The building is broken at the top left.....
The front left bottom (I will get better pics) the words United States of America which is on the same spot on the other side where the word one is.....was broken up and stamped on the front.....
It seems like the back of the coin was stamped again partially on the front and back....that's what I see.....

I'm thinking vice-job, unfortunately, but hopefully someone who specializes in errors will chime in.

The reverse looks like two cents were smashed together. I'm thinking PMD as well.

Regarding that ONE, the N is backwards. This is what happens when you place a coin on top of another a smash them together, you end up with backwards lettering.
If you have some silly putty or modelers clay try it. Press a coin into it and see what you get.

dtm is right. There is no possible way this happened at the Mint.

probably can make one using an automotive spring press ( like the ones in removing springs on struts because i use them all the time )

but its still neat piece tho =0)

Howdy all... when I saw this last night I thought the same, a vice job due to the ONE which I saw to be backwards. Looking at the Obverse however it looked like it has partial letters of United in the lower left corner going the correct way....maybe I am seeing things, but that's why I didn't say anything.

    look like NED.

That is what it is it has part of the word united on the front on the same side the one is on on the back I don't understand how a "vice" can put that on the front too....let me try to get better pics...
