The 1936-D 3.5 Legged Buffalo

    Has anyone seen one of these? A 1936-D three and a half legged Buffalo nickel? I'm interested in knowing what one would look like.

    Yeah, my dad has one of those too. I'm curious to know what the 3.5 looks like.

    I have seen a few. They are far more scarce than the 3 leg, but I don't believe they are that sought after since they are not a widespread variety. It basically looks like the 3 leg, except the rear leg is not mottled, it does not look like the buffalo is urinating, and there is a little more leg detail. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of one.

    i thought the 3 legged and the 3.5 legged were the same thing.:D

    3 leg is the 1937 D, the 3 1/2 leg is the 1936 D.

    Hard to believe 1936 three legged buffalo. I sure wouldn't pay $2,400. for one. Someone had there dremmel tool out...
