I'm no expert, but this looks like the real deal. I just get the feeling in the mintmark that it is, but better pics and clear ones would help.
Let's bring this back to life. Snowy day here so I was just looking at some S mint coins I have laying in the bottom of a box. The bottom photo shows what I think is a inverted S mint mark. do you agree or not
Sorry, probably not. I believe your two coins are of the "Serif" type, also called "Trumpet Tail". The Inverted Mintmark (IMM) is of the "Ball Serif" type. Here is a link to the CONECA reference page for San Francisco MM types: http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/San Francisco Mintmark Styles.htm And similar information grouped by date on Lincoln Cent Resource: http://lincolncentresource.com/San_Fransisco_Mintmark_Styles.html And finally, here is a link to the CONECA IMM reference page: http://varietyvista.com/01b LC Doubled Dies Vol 2/1946SIMM001.htm That said, it does look like the OP back in 2014 indeed had an IMM, IMO.
