DO you think these could still be found in circulation or are they all found or accounted for? Also any collecting tips for circulated rolls from the bank? I already know some of the stuff to look for, any help? Thanks!/.
You won't have much luck getting a lot from coin rolls, unless you: 1. Get a roll 2. Search though roll 3. If there's nothing good, put all the coins back in a new roll (Or, if there's one or two good, replace them for a couple of invaluable pennies into the roll) 4. Exchange the roll for another roll 5. Repeat for as many rolls and times as desired This is a good way to hunt for old coins. You'll mostly get junk, buy hey, you have nothing to lose. Metal detecting is also fun.
Ya, thats what I figured on doing going through a bunch of rolls and just replaceing the one the want to keep. Have you had any success in doin this? If so what have you found? Also have you found anything from metal detecting? A friend knew someone who would burry all the money he would make and never told anyone where..When he died they tore up the his yards looking but never found all of it. Thanks for the help already if you could tell me more from the questions above it would be appreciated....thanks
I haven't even tried this technique, I only thought of it now, so I can't say anything on its success. Also, I haven't gotten anything metal detecting, 'cause I have one of those plastic cheap ones, but a real one might work. Tip: Don't look on the beaches until the summer, you won't find much there. If you do, try a public beach.
CoinVic & Royall: Detecting is tons of fun, and, yes you can find better coins. I know someone who found a VG 1895 O Barber Dime, and there was news about a F to VF 1913 S Barber quarter. The '09 S VDB's are found but, usually out west, not usually here in New York. Although, they are possible, but scarcer here. Good luck to both of you detecting. For more chat on detecting, go to FMDAC.org. They also have two annual conventions one in April and one in the Fall.

Ok...Thanks everyone for their input....Do you guys think I should just get 1 lost or 2-3 lots with cheaper shipping and a promised morgan dollar with every 3 lots. Also if/when I get them who want me to share with you what I got?"
I've never heard of this seller, but he/she seems reliable (reliability includes price details and truthful product sending.).
I bought a couple of lots from this guy a few years ago. You get a couple worn silver coins, a couple worn nickels and a crapload of wheaties. Not worth the price.
I buy lots once in a while for the fun of just going through someone else's junk (one man's junk is another man's treasure). But, I will always look at how truthful the seller seems about his lots. If a seller seems to be untruthful in his description or even puts restrictions that are illogical, then I stay away from the lot. I just noticed this thread today and took a look at the description and noticed that he restricts you to ONLY 15 lots. So, even at 30 lots available, that's only 50%, which leaves you in the red for any real chance at getting anything of value: Morgans, Peace, gold, etc. So, in my opinion, this seller is being dishonest, as I have even recently sold and shipped a 45lb. lot of coins from Wyoming to Texas, and I had absolutely no problems with the packaging and shipping. Yet, this seller seems to have a problem with more than 15 1/2lb lots shipping together? There is no logic in that. The only problem I can see in selling more than 15 lots per buyer is the fact that he would be caught not having the number of Morgans, Peace, and gold that he claims to have in the lots. Thus, you cannot purchase every lot available and get every coin that he is claiming to have in these lots. The only reason I can think of why he would not allow someone to purchase every lot is because the claims he makes in his auction may be false and the "valuable" coins he claims are in the lots do not exist. How are you going to know if you are not allowed to purchase the whole thing to see for yourself? I always read every word in the auctions I bid on and/or BIN to determine how truthful the seller comes off to me, even before reading through the reputation. If I walk into a brick and mortar establishment and the seller gives a shady impression or gives excuses as to why he cannot sell a complete lot of something, I simply will not purchase anything from that dealer at all. Purchases online should be no different no matter who/where the source is.
Hi, WOW THanks for all the iinformation, I did not see where he says only 15 lots....plus he almost always lists by 100 and than all sell or about 30 are left ....what do you mean
