You have no clue. Then don't you owe them an apology? Nah, I am sure you won't. So does everyone! Except for ANACS. If at a show.
I buy coins not plastic. If the coin is in plastic and I do not like the plastic, I remove the coin from the plastic. I see no need to condone or condemn the company that encases the coins.
Everyone seems to rely on the Slab rather than the coin itself. Yes PCGS or NGC are the king of slab or grading but you Yourself need to know what you're buying as well. I've seen some crappy looking coins that comes out from PCGS and NGC. I will never buy a coin looks bad from any companies. Yes PCGS and NGC sell alot better but what is the point buying something that looks ugly in a pcgs or ngc or anac or icg. If a nice coin that is in SEG you can always break it out and have it in 1 of the big 4 .
Frank, this thread was resurrected from 2010. The kid who you are addressing was 15 at the time and has posted on this forum in 9 months. Just saying, don't expect a response.
PCGS use to be really good in old days. Now to me I just .Look at the coin and it doesn't really matter who slab it. I would look at coin before even buying it.
There is a VAST difference between SEGS and SGS. Maybe Larry should change the name of the company to something else to positively avoid any confusion.
This has probably already been said but............ PCGS AND NGC charge for re-grading. As a matter of fact, PCGS "guarantees" the grades assigned to their coins BUT if you submit a coin under that "grade guarantee", you also need to submit $28 "per" coin. IF, the coin downgrades, you get your $28 back. If it stays the same, kiss your $28 bye bye. I'm thinking that a certain someone needs some experience in the field instead of simply repeating what they "thought" they read on some coin forum.
