I would love some input on this beautiful 1878 CC Morgan (vam-11). There are visible fine lines in the obverse fields and I can’t tell if they are die polish lines or evidence of cleaning. The thing is, NOTHING else on the coin indicates a cleaning. General grade input would be appreciated as well. I’ve included photos in several different lighting situations. Thanks!
The lines on the obverse look to be cleaning, could be both. Still a very nice CC. The Pics are nice also thanks for sharing. I love Morgans.
The pictures show the lines stop (and start) at and do not cross over the devices. This may indicate the lines you see are die polish marks.
