Error are fun but not all are worth grading. Buying let's hear a good decision on Error and what's worth time to grade.. Or what are the best Errors to hunt for. ???? Here one date less . Would you get it graded??
I submitted a $2 1/2 gold Indian with about a 45 degree rotation, it graded MS62. Might be able to get $400 or so without the error, sold this one for $800.
I have a 73 Kennedy with a rotation, not graded yet but if I were to grade one this would be it. I think it would help its value, whether ANACS or NGC etc
From what I have seen of off-center strikes, they are worth a lot more if they have the date. Have never found one in circulation
Clad half dollar are hard to judge. Prices on 1982 $80.00 MS 63 I've seen listed by L&C catalog but not a 1973 yet.
Double denomination strikes to me are interesting , especially the older examples , or strikes on wrong planchets . Good stuff Maynord .
I have a feeling that most modern errors are created by mint workers and sold by them . Most real errors are caught by QC . IMHO .
Now you have.. Here is the thread about it.. http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=886210
What! This is actually worth something? I have like one with 70 degrees rotated, what would it be worth?
I was at the coin show last year, saw a statehood quarter with keel turned 360, sold for 250.00 dollars
2005-S KS SQ Silver Proof, NGC PF70UCAM, FS-901, Top Pop: sold for $1,000.00 2001-D Kennedy 50c missing reverse clad layer: sold raw in 2005 for $555.00 Chris
