Our Coin Dealer Directory is open for members to find out about coin dealers and post reviews of coin dealers you've done business with in the past. Posting a review of a dealer is as simple as replying to a topic in the forums, but we will have somewhat different expectations of the content of your post. This doesn't mean that any rules pertaining to the forum are overruled, these are additional rules. 1. Post a review of a dealer only when you have first hand dealings with them in the past. If we have reason to suspect that a review is posted by someone who has not had first hand business with the dealer, we may ask for proof of a transaction or remove the review. 2. Post the facts of a transaction. Simply posting "this dealer is great" or "this dealer sucks" is not as meaning full as saying "I ordered a 1793 Chain Cent in Very Good condition, and received the exact coin I was expecting in the grade I expected. It was packaged well and delivered expediently." 3. Try to work out any problems with the dealer before resorting to posting of a negative review of the dealer in our directory. 4. Threats will not be tolerated. Any threats, whether they're physical, legal or illegal, are not wanted and will be removed. If you intend to bring a lawsuit on the dealer, you may not use our dealer directory to address that grievance as a court of law will decide the outcome. You may post the factual outcome of the lawsuit. 5. Each member may post one review of each dealer. If you need to revise your review at a later date, you may do so (please contact a moderator for help with that if you need). 6. Individuals may not create multiple accounts for the purposes of posting multiple reviews for specific dealers, whether those reviews be negative, positive, or otherwise. 7. Abuse of the dealer directory may result in restrictions placed on your CoinTalk account. Thanks you, and please make judicious use of the coin dealer directory at CoinTalk!
Just so everyone knows, I am still working on the directory, there are a bunch of changes I'm making. No doubt I didn't get all the dealers who should be listed put up there, and some mistakes in listings have already been pointed out to me. If anyone notices anything missing or wrong, do let me know.
Hello members, I would place on the table WCD ( www.wholesalecoinsdirect.com ) I think the older coins they have for sale are too much moneys but I do like and buy there Gold & Silver Bullion Coins. I use there E-Service to keep prices down and try to buy as meny rolls of silver as we can at the time keeping shipping low. I have also tried to ad at lest one gold coin with each order. Shipping ... a fedx package will be at your door within 1.5 to 2 weeks
I've added them... https://www.cointalk.com/reviews/wholesale-coins-direct.252477/ you can post your review there now. And, send them a note to say you got them listed here on CoinTalk too if you want.
No, but whenever I did buy, photos, prices and shipping were excellent. Their name just stuck in my memory.
Oh boy, I wrote my first review. I hope it's up to CT standards, and that I posted it in the correct manner. (as a reply) https://www.cointalk.com/reviews/vic-bozarth-rare-coins.251847/
lol @geekpryde dunno if you're just being modest or kidding with us, but if everyone's reviews are as detailed as yours we're all in for a big treat. Yes, the directory is built into the forum software so the reviews work just like posting a reply to a regular thread. I wanted it that way so that it would be more intuitive for everyone who's used to using the forum.
Please add Colonial Valley Coins in NJ! http://colonialvalleycoins.com And RAAB Coins in NJ... http://www.raabcoins.com And Eagle Coin & Stamp Exchange, Doylestown, PA https://plus.google.com/103040757325371721375/about?gl=us&hl=en Also, how are the listed dealers verified or known?
@Peter T Davis, feel free to scoop up my dealer list for use in your own CT online dealer directory. PM me for more info, but basically all I bothered to collect was URL, dealer name. (no physical address, phone, email, etc collected...yet) I think it works fine as my original thread, but I could see it being beneficial to consolidate it into your dealer directory as well.
Got those added. As far as verified dealers, there are a few facets to that question, like who did I add to the listings, I just looked at established dealers with brick and mortar shops for starters, and to verify it's the actual dealer to let them edit and add to their listing is a more complex question. Thanks, I'll get to that soon, there's a bunch of other stuff I'm working on to get the 'Internet' category working how I want it to work first. Right now I'm just focusing on filling out the brick and mortar shop listings and encouraging people to post reviews.
I have two dealers I love, for completely different reasons. First there's Doug Winter, who likely needs no introduction. What I like about dealing with Doug is that he is fair, helpful, willing to trade, and provides interesting information about the carefully chosen coins he has for sale. The second dealer I love is Bill Brunner of Estate Wholesalers. I like dealing with Bill because he never sends his coins to CAC (and will tell you so) but he is careful about what he buys. So, that means that there is a reasonable possibility that if you buy a coin from Bill it might CAC. I've been able to get CAC certification on 5 of the 7 coins I bought from him over the years! With most dealers, you can be pretty sure that if the coin you buy isn't CAC already, it probably didn't make it when they submitted it, so you don't have much chance. That's certainly true of Doug Winter, but to be fair, he is honest about it.
Doug Winter was already listed, but Estate Wholesalers wasn't so I added them. Go ahead and post reviews on their listings for them!
Added another review. This is fun! https://www.cointalk.com/reviews/david-lawrence-rare-coins.250833/
Not sure if I should be spamming this thread with my own reviews, but I wanted to get the ball rolling so other people would feel compelled to write up their own experiences. Here's my latest: https://www.cointalk.com/reviews/thomas-bush-numismatics.252483/
