I went to the bank and they had a $25 mixed roll of Anthony dollars, Sacagawea dollars. Anyone know what they are worth? More than a $1 a piece? Anyone else have banks that have rolls like that?
I'd say $1 dollar apiece is pretty accurate unless theres a gem BU mixed among the lot, which is highly doubtful.
I started a collection of SBA because I could easly get them from the banks. I found 1 "near date", which I still have, the rest of the circulated coins ($200.00) was used to complete my uncirculated ASE collection. This was a couple years ago. Since then I have collected a few completed sets of SBA's, none with the high dollar "types". I guess you could say these are at least choice BU. The proofs are exquisite. !!!!!CHECK for NEAR DATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This one could get you a few bucks.
The 9 in 1979 is closer to the rim of the coin then the other 1979's. It is also known as a "wide rim". There's a premium for this. I've seen MS near dates go for 16+. I'm sure the Red Book has a pic of this. If you don't have one, you should get one. Great book for information more so then a price guide.
I think Cionvic needs to buy a Red Book (Giude Book of United States coins). Borders or Barnes & Noble about $15.00
Here is a link to a web page with that information. That site provides a lot of information on all the small dollars, not just the SBA. http://home.earthlink.net/~smalldollars/dollar/page29.html
