Hello, recently started collecting medals and tokens and have tried without success to locate a resource that lists the medals and tokens from this exposition. I'm familiar with the So-called dollar reference and also the CM-## releases for this exposition but I'm surprised that I can't find something on the internet that at least attempts to catalogue all the issues from our first worlds fair! Does anyone know of a resource(book or internet) that catalogues these issues. For example, for the 1892-3 Worlds Columbian Exposition we have the Eglit resource. Anything like that for the 1876 Centennial? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, I've been to that website. They only have a handful of the medals from the exposition. Frankly, I'm stunned that there isn't a thorough accounting of the majority of medals and tokens that were issued for our first worlds fair. I assumed that I'm missing an important reference somewhere which is why I posted the question. The search continues....

I've been collecting medals for quite a long time now, and one thing I've found is that there are not that many specialized catalogs made available for medals from a particular event unless there were many, many different specimens. For example, the Columbian Exposition attracted many more exhibitors than the Philadelphia Exposition. To add to this, you have foreign participants like France, who normally print catalogs of their medals on an annual basis, but these catalogs include everything not just the medals of the exposition.

For years, I tried searching for a comprehensive catalog of French medals of the 19th century, but it doesn't exist. If you wanted to purchase the individual catalogs for each year, it would cost you well over $2K.
