1943 Steel Penny ? double date

    This penny will stick to a magnet but it only weighes 2.46 grams, not the 2.70 grams listed in the book.

    Hmm, it does look like there are two 9s in the date.

    It's either die fatigue or the zinc plating being pushed up next to the numbers. You see this on the modern copper-plated Lincolns a lot.
