Artificial toned Franklin Halves

    2 more A.T. coins I bought when I first started collecting 16 years ago. at the time I knew the quarter was AT but wanted it anyway. the half I suspected but bought it cheap $30.00 for both. I kept them to remind me what some A.T. coins looked like.

    does anyone know if these have any other value than silver value ?

    It has melt+whatever someone would value artificial toning at.

    The Franklin, oddly enough, seems to have natural (near terminal) toning near the rim, then AT that seems to cover up something.

    I have paid to learn as well. It hurts a bit but I still binder the coin. Lesson learned for me is go to shows. A coin in your hand is priceless. The only toned coins I have any confidence buying are the ones with evidence of gas bubbles around the date or lettering. And even then this type of toning can be artificially excelled I understand. Beauty is in the eye of me.
