Is this 1941 half dollar uncirculated?

I bought this 1941 half dollar off of ebay a couple of days ago. I haven't received it in the mail yet. It was sold as "choice uncirculated". My question for the experts is is it really uncirculated? There is a mark of some sort at the 3 o'clock position on the reverse underneath "AMERICA" and beside the eagle. If it is indeed uncirculated what do you think the grade would be? What would it roughly be worth?

What about all the scratches on the obverse?

Honestly, I might not even grade it, but call it a problem coin. But I'd have to see it in hand to determine that. But it is in no way choice unc IMO.

To me it looks AU and not very well struck for a P mint coin. that gray flaky looking stuff near the rims bothers me too.

What's it worth? I paid $26 for it. Should I ask for a partial refund? I still want the coin but if they misrepresented it then I should get some of my money back.

If you don't like the coin then just return it outright, assuming you can return it. Not everybody allows returns.

But for the future, the best time to ask questions is before you buy a coin, not after.

AU details. You can easily get a nicer one for that price.

My opinion is that your $26 could have been spent more wisely.

It's worth $26, if that's what you paid. When time comes to sell, it will likely be worth much closer to whatever melt dictates. I wouldn't ask for a partial refund: Either you want it (keep it) or you don't (return it).

That time will never come. I don't sell my coins. I keep them for life.

Then no loss on your part. If you like how the coin looks and were satisfied when you bought it, that's that.
