Perhaps you can forgive me for being a bit too literal about this (ancients have quite more explicit versions) ... Meet Priapus, depicted here on the back of a coin struck under Roman Emperor Septimius Severus in the early 3rd century AD. ("Priapus": When are you supposed to call the doctor after taking Viagra? When you find yourself at risk of "Priapism," named after Priapus, about 4-6 hours after taking your Viagra.) He always seems very proud of his -- uh -- "member," I guess I'll call it. I have a small army of these fellows (well, three), but this is the only good image handy.
