I have tried to design this contest for the members most likely to be interested in the prize. The hoard to be awarded includes one to four modern coins from 22 different countries (total of 46 coins), all of which (except for The Philippines) were pulled from circulation by myself in the country of issue. Represented are China, UK, Danmark, Kenya, The Philippines, Singapore, West Germany, Hong Kong (crown colony of the UK), Brazil, Greece, Vietnam, Seychelles, Zimbabwe, Thailand, Egypt, Pakistan, Swaziland, Guatemala, Finland, Trinidad and Tobago, Bulgaria, and the Netherlands Antilles (constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands). To win you must arrive at the nearest correct answers to the following world political geography questions (if more than one person fits that description I will select at random among them): 1) Four islands of what archipelago are disputed by Russia and Japan? 2) What country in Africa borders the largest number of other countries? 3) What formerly independent state voted by referendum to become a part of India in the 1970's? 4) What European country hosts two independent enclaves and what are their names? (Hint: the two are countries surrounded IN THEIR ENTIRITY by the host nation) 5) Bolivia has lost, sold, or otherwise ceded territory to which other nations in the last 130 years? 6) Within the last 20 years, two countries in the Middle East united. What were the names of the two former countries and in what year did unification occur? From what I've seen of the contests here, entrants stand the best chances if they PM (private message) me with the answers. I will pay postage on the lot. Contest ends Tuesday, Feb. 27, when I log on about 6 am PST.
