Hello to all....I believe I have a 1978 Washington Quarter that has a faint T underneath the branch....it's very visible underneath a magnifing glass. It also appears to have a line (maybe a crack) between the letters T and E in the word Quarter on the reverse side. There also appears to be a long crack going from underneath the right wing to almost the bottom of the quarter. Photos are very hard to get of this coin unless you have a super magnifier...Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
most likely a scratch in other words PMD. If it was a mint error the T would be raised. Just a consonance it is t shaped
My vote........................is along the same lines as when that Madonna was "seen" in a grilled cheese sammich. Or on the side of a wall. Basically, if you look hard enough and long enough and with enough imagination, you can see all sorts of things in coins. This happens to be one of them.
