Found this 64 nickel and thought the condition was odd. The lip on edge is still very prominent but very wavy. It's the same size as other 64"s in circumference and thickness. Didn't know if anyone knows of an error like this, or is this just damage done after circulation?
Damage. Looks like someone tried to spoon it or it maybe was caught in a dryer for a bit. Poor Jeff is looking rough for 50.
1964 nickels are extremely common. I find at least one out of every 2 rolls, sometimes more. This has nothing to do with the topic, but is an interesting tidbit.
