I just hate it when the glare hits the screen. Tell us, Steve, is everything white up there yet? I remember seeing the Northern Lights exactly once in my life. We do not hang out in the same latitudes these days!
I'm pretty sure this is a more accurate depiction of our favorite coin nut when he's on the hunt. There actually is an certain resemblance, physically and in spirit.
Ahahahaha ... I'm just reading this for the first time ... ... apparently JA & TIF must have a spy-camera somewhere in my basement? nice ... yah, I'm not sure if I should be flattered, or if I should press charges? No Doug, there is no snow "yet" ... but the temp did dip below zero Celsius a few nights ago, so I'm pretty sure that we're living on borrowed time!!? I hope that you have a very pleasant Sunday, my clever coin comrades!! Cheers
I tell you what TIF, that first pic of Quagmire is not too far off the mark. I am sure all of us here love looking at Triton auctions, Gemini, Roma, and all of the other great sources of "coin porn". I keep looking at the auction I wrote about in the "how much is too much" thread, and just thinking to myself, "man, I WANT that......". Heck, I am sitting here today kind of like JA's first pic of Steve, looking out from my new den at a manicured lawn, pretty purple maple in the front yard, and typing on a coin site.
Because of my poor eyes I misread the title of this thread at first, thus a bit afraid of what I would find while opening it Q
Seem's like we know each other better than we think, without even meeting. from our writings and a few pic's., we can come up with some idea's on what our life's are really like. Our Summer out West is still on, no snow in the Mountains or water in rivers, but one of the best Summer ever. Time for some football, for Steve, Go 49ner's.
Yep, there sure are a lot of interesting coins up for auction in the next couple of months! I've neglected virtually all other hobbies and responsibilities while trying to whittle down the watch list. Fortunately I have my computer set up where I can look out the window
I didn't think John's cartoon was mean at all. I am betting every single one of us here has turned their back on a nice day, or night, to instead huddle inside dreaming of our coins, right? Steve's just referenced the northern lights, the same cartoon of me could reference the lake I have a shared dock on, or other outdoors stuff these Minnesotans are into.
Lol, that far back, huh? I remember when each of you joined, save Doug and Ken, and I still consider myself a newbie, (please ignore the post count ).
=> ahaha => yah med-man, you're kinda correct ... JA and I have only been coining for the past two years!! (amazing, because I feel like all of you CoinTalk dudes ahve been in my life a lot longer than that!!) ... => but you're 100% correct => Bing and I (and all of our awesome friends!!) came over here in January 2013 (wow, that's only almost two years ago) ... funny, because Bing and I (and others) had already spent a couple of cool years on the CCF ("boooooooooooooo"), so we'd already had a pretty cool coin-thingy goin' on ... => but wow ... I must say that these past two years on "CoinTalk" have been "by far" my most enjoyable years => Edited~ language => I love you guys .... you have awesome coins and you seem to give m Edited: this was not accidental and I am not amused ! each other (I like that about us => we're "coin-friends") Cheers, brothers (and awesome sister)
I remember those days when I first came over here, the big exodus. We sure had a lot of posting fun back then. But now it continues here and this place is a much better fit for most of us. CCF is where ancients started for me.
Forum is where I started a few years back, but I was never a good fit over there. Then came CCF until the "Great Exodus". But this feels right to me. It's a good place to meet up with coin friends (no one else cares but you guys and gals).
I posted this in the other thread also. but appropriate here as many of the same members. Come on folks, stop with the language and stay on the nice coins or it gets knocked to GD where no ancient fans would go. Remember 10 points is the magic number~ You guys can add so much real knowledge to the forum, don't mess it up. Thanks jim
What's improper here Jim? And I remember when they first came over. Mistaken'd them for a host of spammers.......
