I just pulled this from a penny roll! It has the Memorial across Lincoln's face with AMERICA to the top right of his head. There is also letters stamped into the rim???? It is not or does not appear to be a hammer or vice job. Please let me know what you all think, I am pretty excited about this (hopeful)!!!!

I can't see the clash, but the rim issue is a press job. Another coin or some kind of compression type of tool was used to make those impressions.

yikes!!! The A in America starts under the US in Trust and goes across to between We and Trust. As to the compression I thought the same for the rim, but I cant find marks on the reverse to coincide with the pressure used to indent it like that....weird, but dang I sure thought you would be able to see the class. Maybe somebody can help with an overlay?

Now I can see a very light clash. It takes a real hard look to see it.
    Around his face? Zinc rot.
The rim damage? The reverse was on something soft when another coin was hammered or pressed against it.
    IMO, nothing special, a spender.

Ty for reply, the monument and the AM in America are actually ever so slightly raised.
The rim is some sort of press job.

The "clash" is suspect. It's out of normal rotation.
And that mark in front of Abes face looks like an impression of a rim which lines up with the impression of the memorial.

As others have said, this is a "squeeze job" (a.k.a., vise job, hammer job, smash job, press job).

Possibly from a 'lucky penny' holder.
The coin is squeezed into the holder and sometimes, as I was told, the holder is impressed with the info, which can overlap the coin
