1909 v.d.b!!

    my uncle is comein to stay at our house for a couple of days and he told me he found his old coin collection. i asked him what his oldest wheat penny was and he said he had a 1909 v.d.b penny!!!!
    i also asked him the mint mark and he said he thinks it is an "s" man i really hope it is..... anyways he said i could have it so i will post pics up tomarow

    I hope it is! That would be quite a jackpot!

    That said, even if it is just an 09-vdb, I'll bet ten or twenty years from now it will be worth more to you than any S-VDB you buy.

    only thing he said was that it was in bad condition but still ill post pics

    If it is an S, its still worth alot of money, in a low grade.

    oh no, hopes so so high, then snatched the carpet right out from underneath you, but atleast your still getting it.

    If he mails it make sure you tell him to put it in between a fw peices of cardboard and tape the heck out of it. People in the post office would notice a coin and shake the envelope so the coin flys out. Make sure he makes it so it is not apparent that there is a coin in there. And when you get it make sure to look for the initials on the back, bottom. If it's an S mint and has the VDB on the back, bottom you've struck it rich regardless of the condition. Good Luck.
