Coin show earlier this month. Picked up some proof half dollars...'68S,69S,74S & 76S plus a '36 Walker. Thanks for the contest.
i just got a 1941 mercury dime in my change today! They are one of my most favorable coins (aside from the 3 cent coins... they are my favorite!!!)
I picked up a coin that I wasn't too sure of, it was in VG-XF condition, and said 'DOSCIENTAS PIEZAS EN KILOG', 'CINCO GRAMOS' and 1870. I wasn't even 100% sure it was a coin, I didn't see the name of any country on it, but the lion & shield looked familiar, I thought I'd take a chance on it. The 1st thing I found googling the coin legends was someone on COIN DOC'S answer archive, was asking about the excact same coin, and I was pretty excited to find it was a "rare and valuable ... copper pattern from Spain", but after a bit more googling, found out it was a common circ. coin, worth maybe a couple bucks.
