    Hello again!

Picked up this beauty of a set last week at the LCS for $4. Just got some time to take pictures and I thought I'd share! The first set is with 4 Jansjo lights, the second set I added my LED flash ring for fun. Enjoy...

You can't go wrong when they look so impressive for under the price of a meal!

Heck, I would paid $4.00 just for the gorgeous toned peso. Even though it only has $1.00 +/- of silver in it. Great find!

"My new Mexico 1964 mint set." New Mexico struck their own coins in 1964? Those coins are gorgeous!

I figured that why he put "new Mexico" instead of "New Mexico" the latter would imply they were from the state. Either way... pretty pretty coins :)

Nice...VERY nice haul. I paid 4 dollars for just a coin once. It was similar to one of those and had not silver but it was in nice shape.

    Thanks guys!

I have to say three things about the photo process:

    1) The 10 & 20 centavos look amazing in hand, as does the 1 Peso. I'm happy my photos came even close to conveying this.

    2) the LED flash ring shows a bit more of the color on the 1 peso than just the Jansjos, but turns everything else into a flat blue nightmare. It does help to show detail, though.

    3) I had more fun sizing the final photos to scale (using ratios!) than I did most things I did yesterday. It kind of made me miss balancing equations in high school chemistry class...

That is a cool set, and one I would like to find an example of myself. My dad went to the 1968 Olympic games in Mexico City and saved the coins from his change and when I came along later on I got them - the large 1950s era 50 centavos in bronze is one of my favourites.
