the proof is usually "S" for san fransisco if they put a mint mark.

    Pres mint marks

Circulated and un-circulated coins will have a D and a P mint mark. Proof coins will have an S mint mark.
You will get a P and or a D Mint mark coin for now, since the Proofs are not out yet. The P and the D's will ship on March 7, 2007 from the mint. Did you order bags or rolls?

I understand the mint is still thinking about doing a silver pres dol.

Oh they may still be thinking about it, but so far they haven't gotten any legislation introduced. An that isn't easy because of the requirement to have enough co-sponsers for passage before it can be introduced as a stand alone bill. So they will probably wait until it can be added as an amendment to the annual appropriations bill or some other piece of legislation. Of course that may mean that it can't be acted upon until late in the year. I would not be surprised that if they do get authorization it will be late enough that that the only way they will be issued will be as a four piece stand alone proof set late in the year like the 1999-S SBA was.

I received my Mint D rolls and could not find the mint mark. Visited the Mint site and learned the mint marks are on the edge of the coin. A lot of good that does when you put them in your coin book. I suppose the S will also be there for the proofs. Wonder what the mint was thinking on that decision?

    money

The person to copyright an album for the new dollars where you can see the sides would make millions. If you want to put them into production, I get 10% becuase I thought of it first.
