I made my way to the show today. It is about 45 min drive from my house. Parking was a zoo. Getting in was a breeze and the bourse floor was maneuverable. Like always you had your overpriced dealers, your dealers that have the same prices as everyone else, and I did find a few dealers with some good pricing. I am definitely going back tomorrow. One dealer was selling graded US gold commems for spot plus $6.00. Most MS-68 or 69. Decent-fair in my opinion. I noticed that when silver is cheap, no one sells a lot of bullion. I didn't find one dealer that has a nice bar / ingot assortment. The PCGS and NGC lines were fairly busy. The ANACS line had tumbleweeds blowing through it. Like I said, I'm going back tomorrow. What the heck right??? I did find this killer 2 gram gold "Tringot" I couldn't pass on it for $85.
Very interesting piece!!! I was hoping to attend, it's a 1 1/2 hour drive for me, but not this time around. Congrats on the nice purchase! It sounds fun, any other updates on what all is going on out there? Was the US Mint Booth selling the Clad 50th Anniversary Kennedy sets on-site? Did you get to hold the Babe Ruth baseball bat? That seemed like a fun promotion/gimmick!
There was no line to hold the Babe Ruth Bat. I thought I was pretty cool. No 50th Anniversary Kennedy sets onsite. It was very fun. I didn't go with much money the first day. Cause I get impulsive. Now that I've shopped and looked around I wrote down the space number of the dealers that I want to revisit and I will concentrate on those for my purchases tomorrow. I'll try and post my other goodies when I get them tomorrow.
