    1967 was the last year of Swiss silver francs, 1968 on were copper-nickel, sorry.

    I would be interested to know also, I have lots of Cu-Ni coins I was sure were silver.

    1967 was the last year they used silver on the 1 Fr, 1968 were copper Nickel. There might be a slight chance an old planchet could have been leftover and gotten into the press but it is highly unlikely. Easiest way to tell for sure would be weight. The silver coin weighs 5 grams and the CuNi weighs 4.4 grams.

    Have you ever considered the fact that members like profit man aren't exactly wanted? The response to his question was given in the first post another forum member wrote. He decides to ignore that post and goes on trolling. There is a similar pattern with al of his threads

    The only useful function profit man serves is to help the rest of us flex our "wit" muscles.
