Hey All, I have looked at this cent and compared it to other 2010 cents quite a bit. This cent the Liberty letters are more thick than the others so I am wondering if this could be anything, if it's doubled? There are three die markers listed for a 2010-d, but no views of them on the sites I checked. Thought I should check with you guys just to be safe
It's hard to tell from your photo, but it looks like there may be some notches on the top of the "LIB". Can you give us a close-up of that area? Chris
Ok this is the best I could do....also was able to pick it of the others very easy. I included two shots of LIBE, one upside down (turned around for this) the other straight on.
I put a regular on top of the one in question, but you can see the thickness difference so this is why I asked.
Yes it is a D mm. The markers for that are three small die gouges that they say look like dots. I am pretty sure I found the one near the U in untied. The other two, one being just to the left of the E in liberty not so sure about.
Have you compared it to these pics? http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=2010&die_id=2010d1do001&die_state=eds
I did not compare it there, but I did with the one on Wexlers and this one (I posted) appears to be more thicker than that one. I will check the site you suggested to, ty.
Looks like a DDO to me. Notches are present on Liberty. You might want to send your images to Wexler and see what he says. Coppercoins isn't accepting submissions right now due to work on the new site.
Hey guys, I sent the pictures to Wexler and he said he wants me to send it in!!! He gave the attached guide lines. Cool!!!
It will take me a week or so to get it in the mail to him, then several weeks to get it back so I will let you all know!!! Hope so ty!
