Does anyone want to take a stab at these? My local ancient dealer pulled them out of a pile and said he was at a loss. I told him I would post them here to see if anyone of our numerous experts could ID them.

Those are pretty cool coins, Bannon ... at first I thought that they might Carolingians, but then when the others started chiming-in I figured that they were most likely correct ...
