finally defrosted ...wheatie giveaway....

    after a foot of snow and below zero temps...we are thawing out here!! time for another wheatie giveaway. all are welcome to enter and there will be 5 prizes. just opened a roll of 1957-D wheaties so they are the prize. if not needed for your own collection, consider giving them to a child to get them interested in the hobby. to win, just make a post telling us your newest purchase or find, and i will draw names out of a hat. 5 prizes will be given out. we'll run contest til saturday feb.24th. good luck all!

    Unless my eyes are deceiving me, or the photo is rotated, the obverse is rotated in the slab, but the reverese is normal, therefore, you may have a nice proof rotated reverse.
    Latest purchase: (best from the last show) were two 1914 S Barber quarters, the #4 piece in the set.
    It has been a long time since I was able to get two pieces at once.

    I grab any and all fairly priced better Barber Quarters.

    My last purchase was 5 20th Aniv 3 piece silver sets from the US Mint. I should have purchased 10 sets. I also purchased 5 Unc Silver eagles from the mint.

    My most recent purchase is a 5 shilling coin from South Africa with a nice Ship on it :smile . I'll post a picture later when I get home. Dealer graded AU but I think is XF.

    I wish! It's just the way I had the the coin standing while I clicked with this web cam. The coin is not stright in the PCGS holder it is like 3:00

    My last purchase was a 1971 "Blue Ike". I have a complete collection of Ike's, except for the blue Ike's. I been trying to buy cheap and that takes time. This 1971 came at the right price.

    I found 6 Indian head/buffalo nickels in a box of nickels from the bank recently. They all grade G-VG and are all dated 1936.

    They were only made for the Mint sets that year

    1943 merc and although it has some wear it looks as though it's spent most of its life sitting in a safe place. Got it in change at the end of the day last week from either the local CVS or McDonalds.
