Opinions on the grade of this Buffalo nickel...

    I really have a tough time discerning between wear and strike weakness on these.

    AU maybe AU details obverse field doesn't look so great.

    Looks mint state to me, but that hit in the reverse field above the bison is awfully large.

    Heh - well, I asked the dealer how much of a discount I would get for that hit and he gave me the coin for $5! An offer I couldn't refuse. Make way for the big spender. :)

    But just so ya know, the '37 is a common date and known for about only 1% of them being weakly struck.

    That said, I have to agree with Tom.

    That has some obverse and reverse wear. AU58 looks good on it, knock it down for the hit.
