Another Amazing Find, The Second of the Year!

    Roll searched $17 worth of BWR, all the bank could sell me this afternoon and turned up this little darling:

    It was mysterious, thicker than a cent but not identifiable - wondered at first if it might be a CN IHC from 1859-64, but then finally noticed the faint outlines of the eagle and the "8" at the end of the date. Another 1858 FE cent, I found one previously in a CWR back in February and that one is in slightly better shape.

    Same bank only had one half dollar this afternoon, whoopie doo, oh but it was a '68-D so it came home with me.

    agreed, I can see the outline of the eagle.

    I know how hard these are to see from metal detecting finds.

    Must be a good day mine was not anywhere near as good but did get a few wheats !!
