What is the value of a 1896 Morgan dollar ? Very good condition

Depends if you mean the coin is VG-8-10 , it would be worth about bullion .

 

I am not a collector , so im really not familiar with coins

 

Looks like a AU-55 so anywhere from $35 to $45 , though I'd wait for some others . Also it's hard to grade an upside down coin .

i am seeing a large nick at the top of the coin that would hurt value, i am thinking this coin would be more in the 25-33 dollars !!

weak strike, poor breast feathers, 2, and I'll call 'um bag marks on the obv. side, dark grime in between letters, I'll stick to Au details, cleaned.

 

AU details. The reverse was messed with.

 

I'd say XF details. Cleaning evident immediately between tail feathers and wreath. It's "worth" melt, but people would likely still buy it for $30 at the swap meet or something similar.

 

Dang , I need new glasses , I couldn't see it until you and Galen pointed it out . Then again I don't spend a lot of time with upside down pics . Good eyes guys .

 

But I'm sure you know what it would bring on ebay to someone who doesn't know better , Just because of the detail left I can see someone paying $40 easy though probably $35 .

 

I can see it bringing more that 40 on ebay and 20 the next day. It's crazy.

 

actual value: maybe $20.00 to $25.00. ebay value: $35.00 to $75.00
