Anybody ever heard of counterfeit bank rolls? Meaning: somebody passes off a roll as being an old roll thats been sitting in a vault for decades , when in reality, the paper coin wrapper is a counterfeit coin wrapper made to look old,, and it has all common and low-grade coins? Is there any of you that is a knowledgeable expert in the different variation of coin wrappers that have been made over the years?
It seems that what you don't realize is that quite often bank rolls have nothing in them but common low grade coins. And that applies to rolls that have been sitting in the vault for 50 years and rolls that were rolled up today. It is also common to get bank rolls with some unc coins and some circulated coins all in the same roll. And - you can also get some bank rolls with every single coin an unc. You never know what you will get with bank rolls. But sellers on ebay and elsewhere will always try to be sure to make buyers think otherwise. At least those who don't know what I just noted above.
