    Hey All,
Coin roll find. I think it is a Die break, kinda of thick. Also on the reverse I think it is a die break or chip, but it makes the G in FG initials appear to have a cross bar and it had me stumped, but that's my only explanation for it as this should not exist right? I also thought in the UNITED as the UNI looked interesting enough to ask you guys if it is anything. No, not drinking (yet) and not tired:playful:

The Die brake you are referring too... IMHO is gas bubbles in the zinc plating which are common in 1980s Zincoln's.

Yes I am familiar with the gas bubbles, I find those a lot. I didn't know they could make a continuous line as such, I was almost thinking what I recently learned; maybe die scratch.
U see anything unique with United or the initials? Oh thank you for replying!!!!

The obverse is a linear plating bubble. As for the reverse, I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary.

    Ok so:
    1. The die crack is gas Bubbles
    2. The United is normal
    3. The G in the initials is supposed to have a cross bar
Ok I am going to start drinking now:banghead:
    Thank you guys!!!!!

A funny note looking up linear gas bubbles there are some being sold on eBay for a buck up to two. So what do they do when it burst and the zinc rots, doh.

Anyways with my luck it would be to GD to be true so I thought it had to be a chip or break, but now after finding out about linear gas bubbles maybe it could be a well placed gas bubble. They did not put the cross bar
    until 1988 I believe.

the first memorials RDV-001, 003 & 006 all have cross bars

    this year should not correct...

I assume it is more likely die flow or deterioration making it appear to be a cross bar.

But I am not a expert...

you think it maybe a WDV Wrong Design Variety? Maybe a expert will chime in.

It's just a chip or small plating bubble giving the illusion of a cross-bar. The RDV005 which began in 1986 was also lacking a cross-bar, so there is no possibility of a transitional variety with a cross-bar on the G.
