Saw these today and almost walked out with the proof for $6k, but they're a tough sell and I was worried about the crossover potential to PCGS. The 1889 CC was $42,000. He also had a PCGS UNC details cleaned 1893-S priced at $95,000, not pictured.
Anyway, I thought everyone would enjoy looking at them like I did. Drool on, my friends!

None! I resisted the urge to back myself into a financial corner.

I like the 1893 MS-64 as it is the birth year of my maternal grandmother.

    Nice.

How much was the 1893 PF64 DCAM?

    (I'm almost afraid to ask...)

I believe the OP stated the PR64 DCAM was at $6,000? Also, does 64DCAM appear to be low to anyone else but me (strictly as imaged)?? Looks awfully nice for a PR64 DCAM. again, just going strictly by the image (and we all know how accurate grading from an image can be).

Take note that the OP took the photo at a slight angle which could hide some blemishes, and we haven't seen the reverse, either.

2014-08-22 12.45.31.jpg The only flaw I could see on the proof was some semi significant chatter in front of the head and face, and one lone light scratch on the reverse at about 10 o'clock. Plus, as I learned with my last proof Morgan, those are graded VERY differently than MS Morgans. Here's the reverse pic.

Man, those are sweet. I always wonder why the proofs, which are usually a much smaller mintage, are worth so much less than a good MS. I guess it's cause a good MS was a circulation coin and harder to find in pristine condition.

I have an 1893 that I sent to NGC and it came back details cleaned...but it is in my collection anyway. It's got to be worth something.

Haha! I recently sold that exact ANACS 1889 CC it wasn't anywhere near $42,000 when we sold it.
