there is no silver in any quarter nickel or dime after 1964 by my understanding any coin struck before 1964 was made of 90% silver and the coins struck towards the end of 1964 were cut down to 40% silver and no silver in 1965... you can get gold silver or platinum plated state quarters but these are not in circulation... nor do they have any more then a very small percent of the bullion on them... There is no silver in either the quarters or nickels (with the exception noted below) that you have listed, the dimes thru 1964 as Mach has stated were 90% silver, Just for reference the half dollars were 90% silver thru 1964, 1965 thru 1970 were 40% silver,there have been no silver coins minted for circulation since this time. The exception to the nickels are the 30% silver nickels minted only during the war years of 1942 thru 1945 when the normal composition was resumed.

before and including 64 is 90% 65 to and including 69 is 40% silver nickels as the name sugests were made of nickel except for between and including 1942-1945 when it contained 35% silver however in 1942 there were also nickel nickels and the silver nickles that year were the p and s mints
1965-2004 quarters... The Copper-Nickel issues contain no silver. The Silver-Clad issues contain .0739 oz. pure silver The Silver Proofs contain .18084 oz. pure silver. 1868-2004 Nickels... The cupro-nickel issues contain no silver The Silver Alloy issues contain .05626 oz. pure silver. 1886-2004 dimes... The Copper-Nickel issues contain no silver. The Silver issues contain .07234 oz. pure silver. I highly recommend "The Red Book" for anyone interested in U.S. coins.
