I wonder why you even bought the coin in the first place? I doubt it even be worth the $1,240 you paid for it in the long term, unless there's a huge spike in gold prices.
What's with the sense of completeness, a gold Kennedy wouldn't be a part of the set since to me that would fall under "commemorative" or "bullion". But that's just my opinion.
I never did like the lazar etching and is the main reason I no longer buy mint products. I put all my funds toward classic coins, with the exception of the silver mint proof set and the two silver bullion eagles. I'm still trying to recover my expenses from the more current pieces I own. It is a very slow process.
